As a senior web developer for this online healthcare-information company, you will design and build XHTML/CSS/JS pages and applications, create and troubleshoot XSLT stylesheets, and perform technical support for the consumer site.
Additional responsibilities:- Work with internal teams to develop front-end XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Solid knowledge and real-world experience working with XML, XSL, and XSLT stylesheets.
- Ability to start with a Photoshop design, and then develop and QA valid standard XHTML and CSS on strict deadlines.
- Knowledge and experience creating dynamic JSON/XML driven XHTML applications.
- Ability to aid in architecture and creation of front-end applications starting with business and product requirement documents.
- Understanding of browser specific compatibility issues.
- Provide front-end troubleshooting support.
- Assist in managing versioning of web assets like graphics, HTML templates, JavaScript, and style sheets in the repository.
- Keep up to date with new technologies.
- Foster a collaborative working environment in an enterprise level cross functional distributed development team.
- Assist with weekend/after hours call rotation
- Fluency in XHTML/CSS (>5 years experience)
- Knowledge of applications used in web development: authoring tools (Dreamweaver, etc.), graphics tools (Photoshop etc.)
- Working knowledge of content management systems (Documentum) and source control (Subversion)
- Must have experience working with a large consumer-facing web site with proven ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript (5 years experience) and/or jQuery, with ability to write object-oriented code from the ground up to create complete front-end tools
- XML/XSL (3 years experience), with ability to write transformations from complex XML to HTML
- Real-world experience with Documentum content management system
- Experience with Omniture Web Catalyst reporting suite and JavaScript integration
- Bachelors Degree and/or Minimum of 5 years experience in production for a Web-based organization.
- This position requires the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, as well as heavy attention to detail.
