I’m living a charmed life lately: first my employer buys me a top-of-the-line iPod so I can do all sorts of video podcasting goodness, and now Sprint has stumbled across this blog and invited me to their Sprint Ambassador program. They’re sending me a jacked-up multimedia phone and giving me six months unlimited Sprint Power Vision service.

I’d love to know how they happened to choose me for their guerrilla marketing campaign (which I assume this is: hook up a blogger with a free phone and he’ll blog about it). Was it the wonderfully pedantic Literally, A Web Log that drew their attention? Or my Flickr activities? Perhaps my JavaScript posts tickled the fancy of one of their web developers? Or maybe just my god-like Google pagerank?

Surely it couldn’t be the infrequent personal ramblings on BarelyBlogging, but I guess I’ll never know.

p.s. I got a free phone, w00t!

p.p.s. Cingular, you can suck it: if you had made it easier to get a new phone after my contract ran out I would be back under your yoke already.
