Screencasting session at Podcamp Atlanta

Saturday, March 17th, 2007

Phew… the screencasting session is over. Leading an unconference session can be tricky… I got off to a shaky start because I misjudged the audience a bit. I had hoped to skip over most of the intro “what is a screencast” stuff, and concentrate on techniques for making screencasts for smaller devices, but there was a very diverse audience so I had to backtrack to the basics. Luckily 45 min was enough time to cover all the bases, and I think it ended well.

Everyone loved it (of course it’s easier to say that when you’re giving away a $300 software package at the end of the session).

Thanks again to TechSmith for sponsoring the session – people really gobbled up all the swag!

Here is the demo screencast that I made for the session:

Live from Podcamp Atlanta

Saturday, March 17th, 2007

I’m blogging this live from Podcamp Atlanta. Things got off to a good start, Amber did a great job bringing this to fruition and there is quite a crowd. My session on screencasting is in three hours, so I guess I better get started on an outline. :-)

I’ll see you at PodCamp Atlanta

Friday, December 22nd, 2006

My friend Amber Rhea convinced me to lead a session on screencasting at PodCamp Atlanta in March 2007. This will be my first “unconference” so it should be fun.

If you’re in the southeast, and interested in Podcasting, maybe I’ll see you there!
